Terms of use
Last updated: 17 August 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using tinos.live, you agree to these Terms of use. If you do not agree, do not use the site. These Terms apply together with our Privacy & cookies policy.
2. Nature of the service
tinos.live is an independent, unofficial information guide for visitors and residents of Tinos (Cyclades, Greece). It may display Port of Tinos arrival and departure activity, AIS vessel context, Tinos weather and wind, island bus timetables, news, events, maps, and similar island information. The site is provided for general informational and planning purposes only. It is not a booking platform, ticket seller, travel agency, emergency service, or official public authority channel.
3. Non-affiliation
tinos.live is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to any of the following:
- Ferry companies, high-speed operators, ticket agencies (πρακτορεία), airlines, or bus operators serving Tinos or the Cyclades.
- The Port of Tinos, port authorities, Hellenic Coast Guard, municipalities, regions, ministries, or other Greek public bodies.
- Local businesses, event organisers, media outlets, camera operators, or tourism boards, unless a specific partnership is clearly stated on the site.
- Third-party data, map, weather, AIS, timetable, or news providers whose feeds or public information may appear on the site.
Names, logos, vessel names, route names, and trademarks of third parties remain their property and appear only for identification or informational reference. Their appearance does not imply endorsement or partnership.
4. Guidance only - verify before you travel
Port activity times, AIS positions, weather, bus times, news, and events can change without notice and may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Always confirm critical travel or safety decisions with official sources: ferry operators or local ticket agencies, official ΚΤΕΛ Τήνου (kteltinou.gr schedule and contact), the KTEL Tinos information telephone, port authorities, and other competent bodies. Do not rely solely on tinos.live for time-critical or safety-critical decisions.
5. Data sources and third-party links
Much of the information on tinos.live comes from third-party sources: public or licensed feeds, official timetables, maps, weather services, and similar providers. Island bus times are digitized from the official ΚΤΕΛ Τήνου (KTEL Tinos) published schedule at kteltinou.gr for dynamic display only - always prefer the official ΚΤΕΛ Τήνου schedule and contact pages over this site. Port and vessel-related information, weather, live vessel positions, maps, and embedded media may likewise come from third parties under their respective terms. Port live camera feeds are embedded from YouTube; they are not operated, owned, or hosted by tinos.live. We do not control upstream providers. Third-party sites and embeds have their own terms and privacy practices. Displaying third-party information does not mean we own, certify, or guarantee it, and does not create affiliation with operators, associations, or authorities. News headlines and event information are retrieved from publicly available feeds (such as RSS feeds) or public announcements from local media and organisations. They are displayed solely for informational purposes, with full attribution to the original source and a link to it. tinos.live is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or any changes to event schedules.
6. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
The site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by Greek and EU law, tinos.live and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss arising from use of (or inability to use) the site or reliance on its content - including missed connections, travel delays, booking mistakes, or decisions based on displayed information. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer-protection or other applicable law.
7. Acceptable use
You may use tinos.live for personal, non-commercial informational purposes in a lawful manner. You must not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt or overload it, scrape or harvest content in a way that harms the service or violates third-party rights, circumvent security or access controls, or use the site’s data to create a competing product without prior written permission. Automated access that respects ordinary browsing and our robots.txt for search indexing is not an invitation to republish third-party data under our branding.
8. Intellectual property
The tinos.live name, site design, original text, and original compilation of the interface are protected as applicable. Third-party data, trademarks, and media remain owned by their respective owners. You may not copy, mirror, or commercially exploit substantial parts of the site without prior written permission, except as allowed by mandatory law (for example brief quotation with attribution for non-commercial commentary).
9. Privacy
How we process personal data and cookies is described in our Privacy & cookies policy.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. For material changes, we will also provide a notice on the site (for example a banner). Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Courts in Greece have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights that may allow you to bring proceedings in your country of residence under EU rules.
12. Contact
For questions about these Terms, email info@tinos.live. The contact page lists the same address.
